Trajan expands into Malaysia

Penang, Malaysia - 8 May 2017

Trajan Scientific and Medical (Trajan) has expanded its organizational and global manufacturing footprint with the opening of a Penang Malaysia facility last month. Malaysia is the sixth manufacturing site for Trajan, building on operations in the USA (Austin TX, Raleigh NC, and San Diego, CA) and Australia (Melbourne VIC, and Adelaide SA).

With additional capabilities for the precision glass products that service markets all over the world, Malaysia will complement the operations in Australia and the USA where Trajan manufactures their key product lines for the analytical industry.

The establishment of the Malaysian facility will also build upon Trajan’s partnerships with key customers’ manufacturing and development sites located in South East Asia.

Mr Stephen Tomisich, Group CEO of Trajan, is delighted with the growth of the Trajan footprint. “The Malaysian facility provides Trajan with global capacity and flexibility to meet customer needs,” said Mr Tomisich.

Dr Harry Ritchie, CEO of Trajan’s Analytical business recently toured the new facility, stated, “It is an absolutely state-of-the-art and well organized site, which will considerably expand Trajan’s capability of supplying kits and key components for instrument manufacturers in the analytical and biochemical marketplace.”
