Trajan Scientific and Medical currently has an opportunity for a seasoned Business Development professional to develop and lead technology adoption and early stage commercialization strategies for the microsampling portfolio in the North American market.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead technology and product adoption of strategies for Trajan’s microsampling portfolio
  • Develop and maintain close working relationship with key opinion Work intensely with customer to deliver product-focused solutions
  • Create a “Beachhead” by defining business model, target customer profile, whole product and value proposition
  • Reporting to the business unit this role is responsible for developing the tools and additional actions to enable the commercial team to be successful and achieve budgeted sale plan
  • Support the commercial team
  • Demonstrate successful execution of the business model
  • Guide and direct global promotional activities for the current and emerging product lines in the target market segments to cause adoption of the Trajan microsampling technology solutions
Key selection criteria
  • A Bachelor’s degree in scientific discipline as a minimum with substantial experience in the
  • Experience in one or more of the following applied markets; Environmental, Food and Beverage, Clinical/Pharma and life sciences with respect to sample handling and sample management
  • At least 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience in bioanalysis, preferably in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry
  • Demonstrate experience in technology adoption or commercialization
  • Demonstrated experience in developing disciplined selling strategies in a technical field
  • Experience in gathering VOC and interface with a technical organization
  • Strong and demonstrated strategic thinking skills

An amazing opportunity exists for a seasoned professional to lead an aggressive operational uplift. The Trajan site in Bethel Connecticut is the third and latest acquisition by Trajan in the US. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Operations Manager is accountable for the delivery of the Operations Fundamental Value Proposition of Supply Reliability, Quality, Safety, and Value.

The first order of the day is to implement a production process improvement Program, including implementation of lean manufacturing standards, introduction of Quality System and the recruitment of appropriate resources to support this exciting phase in the life of the Organisation.

The position will work closely with the Global Supply Chain & Integrated Business Planning organization to ensure optimal customer outcomes whilst delivery the Fundamental Value Proposition

The incumbent will work with the Tech & Engineering team and R&D functions to manage the transition of new products from the development to commercial production ensuring that all procedures, testing and validation documentation are in place.

The Operations Manager will scope and support the ongoing mentoring, development and skill growth of staff across the site.

To be successful in this role you require
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in the implementation of productive processes and improvement initiatives

The Austin facility is home to Trajan’s customer service and distribution centre for the Americas, as well as precision glass manufacturing and product assembly for some analytical product lines. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional to be part of the Finance team in Americas.

The role

Reporting to the Financial Controller Americas, the Accountant – Compliance will assist in meeting all global regulatory and statutory obligations from a financial accounting perspective. It requires the extensive execution of detailed financial, cost accounting and transactional work. You will engage in financial accounting duties across multiple locations with an emphasis on Compliance.

To be successful in this role you require
  • At least 10 years’ experience working in a global supply and demand environment
  • Business Analytics and Intelligence - development and reporting
  • Knowledge of ERP system processes for demand, production and inventory control
  • Strong business acumen and customer focused
  • Ability to clearly articulate problem statement and drive to resolution

Key responsibilities include

Tax and contract compliance:

  • Prepare and compile information to provide to external firm for federal and state tax returns.
  • Work closely with third party providers in order to review sales, payroll and excise tax filings.
  • Utilize and develop a basic understanding of various tax programs and tax software.
  • Prepare deferred tax calculations and GSA Contract Reporting.
  • Maintain Intercompany and Transfer Pricing transactions and setup, ensuring compliance with relevant policy.

Other duties including work within:

  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Month End Reporting.
  • Payroll processing, benefit calculations and payment.
The ideal candidate will possess
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with minimum 3 years accounting experience in a global manufacturing company
  • CPA qualification
  • Good understanding of GAAP and IFRS
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting package and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, both independently and within a team

The role

This role will serve as a vital resource for Trajan Operations in the Americas by applying technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient production of low cost, state-of-the-art quality products.

Key Selection Criteria
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in commissioning new plant and equipment ensuring compliance with the plant operating permits
  • A demonstrated ability to implement mechanical improvement initiatives to address quality issues
  • Proven experience in introducing new developments in processes and machinery to optimise plant performance
  • Experience in applying continuous improvement and using lean tools for process enhancements such as Value Stream mapping, Kanban, Continuous flow and single piece flow to reduce scrap and meet task and cycle times
  • Be an excellent communicator who can articulate design to both technical and non-technical people
