Trajan Series 1 Adhesive microscope slides are manufactured using a specialized coating that produces the positively charged surface required for histology, cytology and microbiology applications providing reliable, high quality and uniform performance. The positive charge promotes cell and tissue adhesion, and the hydrophilicity provides a better base for aqueous reagents.
These slides are optimum for frozen sectioning, heat-induced antigen/epitope retrieval (HIER) immunohistochemistry (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH) based techniques.
Available with 90° ground edges in white. Slides are pre-cleaned, carefully inspected and ready to use.
Trajan Series 1 Advanced Adhesive microscope slides have a hydrophilic surface with a contact angle around 30° and strong adherence.
Advanced Adhesive slides are optimized for use in diagnostic applications including immunohistochemistry (IHC) as can undergo harsh processes. With no autofluorescence, these slides are optimal for in situ hybridization (ISH) based applications.
Trajan Series 1 Frosted microscope slides are non coated and frosted at one end to facilitate sample identification. These slides are optimized for printing with automated slide printers.
Available with 90° or beveled edges in a variety of colors. Slides are pre-cleaned, carefully inspected and ready to use.
Trajan Series 2 Adhesive microscope slides are manufactured with a specialized adhesion coating that provides improved tissue sample adherence and extensibility together with reduced background staining. The slides are made of fine glass with superior flatness and transmittance with minimal intrinsic fluorescence.
Slides are available with ground edges and clipped corners in a variety of colors. Slides are pre-cleaned, carefully inspected and ready to use.
Trajan Series 2 Frosted microscope slides are manufactured using high quality extra plane glass with minimal autofluorescence, thereby suitable for both histology and microbiology applications.
Trajan Series 3 Adhesive microscope slides are manufactured with a specialized fortified adhesion coating that provides improved tissue sample adherence and extensibility. The slides are made of fine glass with superior flatness and transmittance with minimal intrinsic fluorescence.
Slides are available with ground edges and clipped corners in a variety of colors. Slides are pre-cleaned, carefully inspected and ready to use.
Trajan 20- place cardboard slide trays/mailers are available in a variety of colors with enclosing flaps for ease of handling and transportation.
Front slide protection flaps can fold back without damaging the hinge. Each slot has a thumb cut for easy slide removal. The index on the inside cover ensures easy slide identification for traceability.
Trajan storage boxes are made of durable cardboard, covered with a tight fitting lid to ensure complete protection.
The interior of the boxes are sectioned in a way that each slide or cassette projects above the partition, thereby enabling easy location and removal.
Trajan biopsy pads are drawn from fully reticulated cellular polyester urethane foam which allows optimum reagent transfer around tissue specimens whilst securing it. The foam is soft and flexible with fine pores. It is cut to a size which is compatible with most tissue cassettes used in histopathology laboratories.
Tissue biopsy specimens can be placed between two foam pads and positioned in tissue cassettes with metal or plastic lids. The thin nature of Trajan biopsy pads reduce pressure on unfixed specimen with minimal risk of tissue adhering to pads during the embedding process.
To avoid artefacts, it is recommended, biopsy pads should be moistened with fixative before use.
Trajan biopsy pads are ready to use. They resist temperatures from -40°C to 121°C, and are autoclavable. Available in blue or black, packed in bags containing 500 or 1,000 pads.
Trajan Histology wax Plus uses highly purified paraffin wax as the base ingredient, supplemented with plasticising polymers to provide further elasticity and tensile strength. This allows superior specimen sectioning with minimal tissue block shrinkage. Therefore, embedded specimens can be easily cut with steady ribbon continuity.
The wax is suitable for all general embedding and sectioning purposes.
Trajan microtome blades offer exceptional cutting and longevity for a wide range of tissue specimens. A unique coating and innovative edge provide exceptionaldurability while enabling smooth and precise tissue sectioning.
Designed for use with any type of tissue, Trajan blades are suitable for all microtomy and cryotomy applications, making them the ideal blade for routine histology work. From skin biopsies to more fibrous uterine tissue, Trajan blades will reproduce thin sections with ease. Made to last, Trajan blades are also the perfect choice for a diverse range of research applications.
Available in either low or high profile, Trajan blades eliminate the need to juggle multiple blades for different tissue types, simplifying the laboratory workflow.

MiPlatform is a smartphone adapter which combines the comfort of microscope navigation and smartphone camera lens, thereby, enabling scientists and clinicians study quality images quickly and ergonomically. It maintains microscope-like navigation to fully utilize the advantages of microscope slides in both clinical and training settings.
The MiPlatform is compatible with any smartphone so ask your local Trajan contact for a demonstration and see how it can change the way you study microscope slides.
Trajan Series 1 coverslips are manufactured using ultra-thin pure white borosilicate glass with uniform thinness and flatness under strict and controlled specifications during the cutting, cleaning, weighing and packaging procedures.
Custom sizes available upon request.
Long-term formaldehyde exposure increases the risk of health effects, most commonly asthmalike respiratory problems as well as eye and skin irritation. Standards for workplace exposure vary around the world, leaving many healthcare workers without adequate protection.
Trajan’s Prefilled ZERO Exposure Neutral Buffered Formalin (NBF) containers provide the ultimate protection for laboratory, surgical and logistics staff by reducing exposure to harmful chemicals and carcinogens. Through the innovative dual chamber design, users are protected from liquid and vapor leaks during collection, transportation and preservation of precious tissue.
Available in 60 mL, 150 mL and 500 mL.
